The Liberia Football Association has dissolved the entire coaching staff of the Liberia national team following a run of poor outing in major international competitions in recent time.

According to the president of the LFA Musa Bility, speaking Friday at a major press briefing at the LFA on Benson Street in Monrovia, the decision to dismiss the national coaches comes after thorough consultation with the chief patron of sports president Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, the ministry of youth and sports and the executive committee of the LFA.

The national team technical staff members were Kaetu Smith, head coach, Kelvin Sewbe, deputy coach, Janjay Jacob, trainer and Lucretius Togbe as goalkeeper trainer.

Meanwhile, the LFA has appointed former world best player and newly appointed peace ambassador, Georgia Weah to lead a committee to vet a new technical staff for the national team of Liberia in the shortest possible time as the national team returns to 2014 world cup qualifiers competition by next March.

In another development, the LFA has announced the official closing of the LFA/Cellcom 2011/2012 national for Sunday December 30, 2012 at the ATS in Monrovia.

Bility also announced that the 2012/2013 national league will begin on January 29, 2013, exactly two days after the closure of the national county meet organized by the MYS.
